In April 2020 with COVID now in every part of the world, things were different in every single way, we had our normal check up with the Dr to see how little Sam was doing, however we never expected what was next.

After doing the normal ultrasound and me having to watch it via video call due to new hospital COVID rules, the Dr. informed us that our little one was diagnosed with a Congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM), this is basically a rare congenital birth defect that includes a cystic mass of abnormal lung tissue.

From here on out, we were transferred to Colorado Children’s Hospital so our little one could get all the special attention needed.

Just like her mom, Samantha is a true fighter!!
